The first time I encountered this tiny Dales village about 30 miles northwest of Leeds was early 2005. I had been driving Graham's car (thanks Graham!) through a snowy pass and descended down a very steep and narrow road. | |

Narrow pass: Nearing the top of the narrow road between Kettlewell and Middleham, up the Great Whernside. This was taken with a Nikon FM and a 50mm, fingers frozen.

Snowy view: Taken in the opposite direction to the one above, this is the view towards the East.
